The ports settings panel provides tools for configuring and managing your DMX outputs. Showglo supports DMX output via Art-Net or USB.
Please Note: You will need to configure one or more universes in order to output DMX. Go to the
universes page for more information.
DMX Networking
In the DMX Networking section, you can configure network settings for transmitting DMX data via the Art-Net protocol.
Art-Net Interface: Select the network interface responsible for sending and receiving Art-Net packets. Ensure that this network interface is on the same network as your Art-Net nodes to ensure proper communication.
Enable local network: This option allows you to send Art-Net packets via the loopback network interface. It’s particularly useful when you need to transmit Art-Net DMX packets to other software applications such as a DMX visualizer, running on the same computer.
DMX Outputs
In the DMX Outputs section, you can configure both Art-Net and USB-to-DMX outputs. Once configured, each DMX port can be viewed in the list and assigned to a universe.
