Showglo offers an ever-expanding suite of lighting effects designed to enhance your lighting presets. Each preset includes 4 FX slots, allowing you to load various effect modules. You can access these FX slots from the control section in the preset editor by clicking on any of the 4 FX tabs. Selecting an empty FX slot will bring up the “FX Menu” where you can choose from the available effects to load into the slot.
Next, we will explore each of the available FX modules and how they operate.
The Low Frequency Oscillator (LFO) module is a versatile tool within Showglo that allows you to create dynamic lighting effects. It modulates the intensity, position, or other parameters of your lights at low frequencies, producing smooth and rhythmic variations.
For an LFO to take effect, one or more compatible fixtures need to be added to the LFO’s fixture list. Once added, fixtures can be ordered and grouped to configure the behavior of the spread control.
Fixtures are ungrouped by default. Use the following steps to group a fixture.
The following parameters enable customization of the LFO effect.
The waveform determines the shape of the oscillation, impacting how the light modulates over time. The available waveforms include:
This control inverts the waveform, flipping the modulation pattern to create opposite effects.
The amplitude control adjusts the intensity of the modulation. Higher values increase the effect’s strength, while lower values produce more subtle changes.
This control sets the speed of the oscillation. Positive values move the effect forward, while negative values reverse the direction.
The space control defines the interval between cycles of the waveform, allowing you to add space before the waveform repeats.
Multiple fixtures can be added to the LFO either individually or grouped together. This control adjusts the phase offset between these fixtures or groups.
