The live view is your central command hub in Showglo during live performances, providing access to all of your lighting cues. In this section, we’ll delve into the various components that you will interact with during a show.
The fast playbacks are your quick-access controls for frequently used show elements. These playbacks are always visible in the live view, regardless of the current bank or page. These 8 playbacks are equipped with a fader and an on/off switch. The fast playbacks master section features an on/off switch and a fader for global control.
You have flexibility to use the fast playbacks section in two ways:
You can configure the fast playbacks section by navigating to Setting > Playbacks > Fast Playbacks.
The playbacks section is the heart of Showglo’s control, providing access to all of your lighting cues and effects.
Each of the 40 playback controls features a dedicated fader for precise level control and a configurable button that offers three distinct trigger modes: momentary, latch, and oneshot.
For more information on the trigger modes, head over to the playback page.
The 40 playbacks in each bank are divided into pages of 8.
To navigate between different pages, you can click on one of the 5 page buttons at the bottom. Each button provides a visual representation of the page so you can see the status of all the playbacks at a glance.
To manage complex light shows, the bank selector provides access to 36 banks, each containing 40 playbacks. This allows you to organize all of your lighting cues into different banks for each part of your show.
The bank selector displays the current bank’s name and offers convenient up and down buttons to cycle through the banks. Clicking on the bank name opens the bank selector panel providing quick access to all banks.
Since many performances require atmospheric effects like haze or fog, we’ve placed dedicated controls on the live screen. This ensures quick access for checking and fine-tuning during the show.
You can configure the Haze section by navigating to Settings > Haze. Check out the haze settings page for more details.
Showglo uses a global tempo value to precisely sync your lighting effects to the beat or rhythm of the music. This affects the timing of all playbacks, ensuring a synchronized and immersive lighting experience.
To adjust the tempo, simply click on the Beats Per Minute (BPM) label and enter your desired value.
For an even more intuitive experience, use the tempo tap button to tap along to a steady beat to match the tempo to the music.
